Both teams came into the meet with undefeated conference and overall dual meet records but only one could make the claim when the night was over.  Half of the CAAC title is determined by dual meet records and the other half is determined by final finish in the League Championship meet.  Okemos assured itself of the dual meet title with a hard fought victory over the Vikings.  Jackson is the 2nd best team in mid-Michigan and they gave us lots of good races which is what we need heading into the Championship part of the season.

400 Free Relay--Kelly Schwaner, Andrea Dantus, Sally Yan and Laura Kruger

 

Swimmer of the Meet goes to 4 event winner Amelia Marsh.  Besides being a part of the record setting 200 Medley Relay, Amelia defeated the current area leader in the 100 backstroke by over 2 seconds.   Other good swims were clocked by Kylie Holden in the 50 and her anchor split on the 200 Free Relay of 25.25, Lauren Dudley and Kylie in the 100 fly in sandwiching Jackson's fine freshman butterflyer,  Laura Kruger in a strong 2nd place showing in the 500 and the all 4 swims on the "C" 400 Free Relay consisting of Emily Laub, Kenzie Krumm, Nicole Baron and Marie Marsh.
