In the toughest division in swimming, the Chieftains are drawing mid-season recognition for the type of year they are having.  Okemos is current sitting in a two-way tie for 5th with Midland Dow and behind Mercy(1), Holland(2), Seaholm(3), and Groves(4).  The top 4 teams at state take home trophies so that is certainly one of the goals this team is shooting for.  Yes it is exciting to be ranked this high, but keep in mind there are several teams right behind us such as Dexter, Hudsonville, Forest Hills Central and Jenison who have the same top 4 aspirations that we do.  Swimming is such a demanding sport however, it is nice to see all the hard work the girls have been putting in get recognized at the state-wide level.
