The Chiefs won the meet over the Falcons in businesslike fashion winning every swimming event, taking 2nd in 7 of the 9 individual events and taking 3rd in 9 of the 12 total events.  This is the most depth I have ever seen on an Okemos team and several of the girls were sick and did not even make the trip.

200 free relay--Kylie Holden, Madison Batchelor, Laura Kruger and Lauren Dudley

100 backstroke--Lydia Roth

100 breaststroke--Madison Batchelor

400 free relay--Amelia Marsh, Laura Kruger, Lauren Dudley and Lydia Roth

 

Swimmer of the meet goes to Lydia Roth who won 4 events including a state cut in the 100 backstroke and the 200 medley relay and a near miss but excellent time in the 100 freestyle.  Lydia is way ahead of where she was swimming last year at this same time of year.   Newcomer of the meet was freshman diver Carly Schaffer who place 3rd in the event with a personal high school best of 162.45.  Way to go Lydia and Carly!
